Crib and Toddler Nursery

A children's ministry that begins in the nursery under the loving and devoted care of our Christian staff. Here, infants and toddlers up to 23 months have an opportunity to enjoy age-appropriate stories, lessons and crafts that will enrich their time together.  We provide a safe and loving atmosphere for children while parents enjoy the opportunity to participate in worship services and other ministry activities at New World.   

Sunday School

Children age 2 years to 6^th grade experience the love of God through a Rotation Sunday School format in which the stories of the Bible are presented to the children in innovative and interactive methods. The stories of the Bible come alive through experiencing them in Art, Drama, Music, Science, Cooking, Movies, Games and Storytelling. The children can see the Bible story over many weeks through a variety of ways, making the story ingrained in their hearts and minds. The message of God becomes real and meaningful to them through this exciting and hands-on Sunday School Program. Come and join the fun!   

Children’s Music Ministry

The Children’s Music Program offers the opportunity for all children from preschool through 6^th grade to learn about and express their faith through song and music, while having a leadership role in worship and the community.  The Choirs meet on Thursdays at 4pm with the Handbells starting at 5pm. The Good News Choir joins together after school/before rehearsal for snacks and recreation.

Confirmation and Education Classes

Confirmation is a study for children who want to learn more about what it means to be a Christian and the rich history of the United Methodist Church. At the conclusion of the class, students are given an opportunity to become members of the church.  Confirmation Classes are offered in the fall. 

Learning to Use Your Bible workshop is offered to guide children through the basic fundamentals of Bible learning after they receive their Bibles from the church in the 3^rd grade during a special presentation during a Sunday worship service in the fall. 

Kids that Care Club is a course that teaches children how to baby sit through a variety of hands-on lessons and CPR guidance.  After completing the course, older children are invited to work at Parent’s Night Out to practice what they’ve learned in becoming successful babysitters. 

5^th and 6^th Grade Fellowship

This monthly fellowship time offers children in 5^th – 6^th grade the opportunity to build relationships with each other in preparation for the upcoming youth years.  Special projects and activities in the community are offered as well as fun-filled, unstructured play time with friends. 

Summer Activities

Vacation Bible School is a week full of "hands on" activities, crafts, and creative lessons that guide children through a study of our Christian heritage.  Vacation Bible School is offered in July for children age 4 years to 5th grade.

Mission Camp is an opportunity for children in 3^rd – 6^th grade to have fun learning about missions in the church, community and around the world through games, crafts, field trips, and hands on service activities.  This day camp is offered once a month in June, July and August.
