Guidelines for Fundraising Request |

Submission Timeline: |
Reserve tentative dates of the event on church
calendar(limited to two consecutive Sundays.
Submit request to the Business Administrator preferred
one month in advance of meeting which meets the second Tuesday of each
month.
No more than two (2) fundraisers in the concourse per
Sunday.

Required Information: |
Requests must contain the following information:

Purpose for funds raised.

Contact information for fundraiser
chair/leader

Intended amount to be raised

Required Goals/Purpose: |
Requests must directly address at lease one of the following::
- Making disciples of Christ
- Serving one or more approved missions of NWUMC
- Promoting a sense of community among the membership
|
|
Approval Process: |
Requests must meet the following criteria:
- Request form completed
- Dates reserved on church calendar
- Address at least one of the stated goals
|

Other Considerations: |
The Finance Committee may consider one or more of the following in
determining fundraiser approval:
- Extent to which the fundraiser impacts the General Fund
- Impact of the fundraiser on the stated goals of NWUMC
- Stated alternative methods for raising funds other than on-site
presence during the worship service
- Intended amount of funds to be raised from sources outside the
membership of NWUMC
Finance Committee will review fundraiser and either approve or
reject.
